It is my pleasure to report that Ramona Miranda (who is minoring in economics) was recently awarded at $10,000 from the Steinberg Endowed Undergraduate Fellowship Program. She will use this money to pay for her study-abroad to Slovenia and for her project in Nicaragua. She was selected by Eli Abroad (a charitable nonprofit organization) to help women in Nicaragua develop their small business projects. Ramona told me that the organization assigned her to this project because of her knowledge in economics. Ramona will be working in Nicaragua in December during her senior year at Post. Ramona is also a transfer student from Suffolk Community College and is majoring in International Studies. Great job, Ramona!
